We need information about you to provide our service to you. This information will either be required at the outset or in the course of the transaction with you. If you do not provide the information we ask for it may delay or prevent us from carrying out your instructions.It is important that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and current. We will gather most of the information that we need from you direct but sometimes we will collect data from:
Publically available sources, such as, HM Land Registry (records about property ownership);

Generally electronic and hard copies of your file will be held for seven years and will be destroyed at the end of that period. All our files are stored in secure storage until they are destroyed.
Documents that you have asked us to store on your behalf, such as title deeds and Wills do not have any destruction date but are stored in secure and fire proof storage at our offices.

In certain circumstances you have rights under Data Protection Law in relation to your personal data which you can exercise free of charge, namely the right to:
- Request access to your data;
- Request correction of your data, if it is inaccurate or incomplete;

- Request that the processing of your personal data be restricted;
Request transfer of your personal data,
- Withdraw any consent that you may have given to the processing of your data.
The above rights are not absolute and we may be entitled to refuse requests where exceptions apply.

Our communications and any attached files are confidential and may be legally privileged. If you are not the intended recipient, any reading, disclosure, reproduction, copying, distribution, or other dissemination or use of such material is strictly prohibited. If you have received any such communication in error please destroy it and immediately notify us.
4. NON ACCEPTANCE OF SERVICE
We do not accept service by e-mail of court proceedings, other proceedings or formal notices of any kind.
